iTunes Video rentals Hacked
Whenever Apple release a product, Sooner or later people always come with a Hack. It came as Unlocking in the case of iPhone and VoIP support for iPod Touch. Just after couple days Steve Jobs introduced the iTunes Movie rentals at Macworld 2008, Here come the hack to keep and watch the movie for more than so called apple-restricted time of 24hrs. No codes or complex modifications to be done. It use the old school trick - Play with the time settings.
If i’m not, Guys at Gizmodo found this put first:
Take your system into the future (but not too far) before you click play for the first time, which starts the 24-hour clock. Then come back to the present. We did this with the second movie we rented, playing it for the first time in 2009. We came back to 2008, and now we have a whole year to watch it.
All you have to do is, Set the time one year ahead in the clock. Start playing the movie, set the clock back to current time. You’ll get to keep the movie for a year. But this may not last long. Apple may soon find this out and close the loops hold like what Google did with Orkut. In the mean time, Keep playing with the trick.
