The famous cross-platform VLC Media player that supports wide range of video and audio files is now available for iPhone and iPod Touch.

zodttd has made it possible to drag, drop and play media file formats including MPEG/MPG, MPEG2, MPEG4, AVI, MP3, XviD, h264, FLAC, 3GP.

iPhonefreakz got some screenshots of the application.

Currently the VLC4iPhone is under Private beta testing. You can join the beta testing by giving a small donation for the effort he has put into developing this application.
