Thats true. Now perverts in Japan who use iPhone 3G to take spy shots of upskirt or downblouse pictures will really get into trouble.

Apple is releasing the iPhone 3G in Japan with a lpoud camera shutter sound every time the picture is taken. It will play the shutter sound even when the phone is put in silent mode. “High resolution phones have caused a perpetual increase in profane activities like taking upskirt and downblouse shots. As a result, all cell phones sold in Japan make a conspicuous shutter sound, or say the word “cheese” when a snap is taken, according to Nobuyuki Hayashi, a tech reporter based in Tokyo.
