Google Chrome: Firefox killer released

Google yesterday released it’s browser Chrome and is available for download for the Windows XP and Vista users. The browser looks clean, minimalistic and definitely one of the fastest browser available out there.

The installation takes just few seconds and immediately imports stuffs from the Firefox. Chrome has a sleek and elegant interface unlike other browsers, it doesn’t show Menu bars or toolbars. Chrome’s tabs appear as the primary element at the top of the browser.

Chrome still keep up the pace even after opening ten tabs while few browsers eat up the resources when you jump between sites for 15minutes. Chrome also features a sleek moving tabs which is already present in Safari. The most favorite feature everyone like about this browser is “Homepage”. You don’t have to go through the hassle of setting or selecting the homepage site. Chrome automatically stores the pages you visit often on the homepage.

Like any other browser, chrome also features a private browsing mode called “incognito”. When the browser is set to incognito mode, whatever you read or see is kept secret and the chrome won’t record your activities or store them in history.

While we can give thumbs up for all the features in Chrome, There are few drawback too. Chrome is not yet available for Mac and Linux. Organizing bookmarks is a bit difficult and there are no ways to email links. Google says this version of chrome is in Beta and more features will be added in the upcoming versions.

Overall, Google Chrome is really great, fast, elegant, clean and awesome. Even though it’s just released , the browsing experience with Chrome is really great and amazing. It’s really worth to download it.
