Volkswagen Mini goes Green at Beijing Olympics

Volkswagen has really chosen a new way to promote their launch of the Mini Clubman in china. This Mini-rickshaw is custom designed and made from the back of the Mini. The company had the body shipped from Germany to Hong Kong and where they converted it into Mini-rickshaw. Mini is promoting the Clubman as a ‘Life style’ rather than a normal car.

MIT Students Hacked the Subway Ticketing System

Three MIT students hacked the subway train ticketing system’s CharlieCard smartcards and the mag-stripe on its paper CharlieTickets and offer up open source tools they made while conducting their research, among other gaping holes. They were planning to do a talk on Anatomy of a Subway Hack at Defcon this past weekend. But a lawsuit by Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority on Friday afternoon had stopped them. Abandoned NASA Trailer found with Retro Stuffs

Photographer Richard Harrington stumbled upon one of these trailers, abandoned on a dusty lot somewhere between L.A. and Las Vegas packed with retro style space-tech stuffs. The name on the trailer reads ‘Jet Propulsion Laboratory’ which has a somewhat surprising history of running major missions out of modular trailers scattered around their Pasadena HQ to monitor the missions and operations.

Optimus Maximus coffee spill test

Have you ever spilled coffee on your keyboard? Did it function properly after that?! Our famous Optimus Maximus goes through the coffee spill test and seems like it “survived” the test. Sir tema has posted this picture in the Livejournal community. He is also a nice person to give a warning “don’t spill any liquids on any keyboards because this is stupid and voids any warranties.”.
